Combine long and short necklaces. Play around with your look by wearing gold and silver pieces together. If you’re unsure about mixing your jewellery together, wearing a matching set is also a good choice. Although the colour of your jewellery matching your outfit is a good thing, it’s not always necessary that the colour of your outfit matches the colour of your jewellery.
Too much glitz can sometimes be a bad thing and it’s easy to get caught up in the beauty of jewellery. Unless you want the centre piece of your outfit to be your jewellery, it’s best to follow the less is more rule of thumb, especially when you are wearing a more extravagant outfit.
Make sure your jewellery matches your outfit in terms of the level of sophistication and appropriateness. Think about what impression your outfit is going to give. Never wear an outfit meant for a glamorous event with jewellery that is meant for a relaxed evening with friends.
No matter how amazing your outfit is, never wear jewellery that’s dirty needs repair. Jewellery which is dirty will distract from the overall intent of the clothes. Keep your jewellery clean to make the most of your designer clothes.
